A competition built to include.

The one‑day event split Shiregreen into two marked grass pitches so games ran simultaneously — more touches, less waiting, and every player batting and bowling.

Weather, solved.

After early rain, groundsman Banaras Ali spread sand on damp run‑ups and at the crease for grip and safety, getting us underway after a short delay.

As in the inaugural year, it was 8‑a‑side (boys this time; a separate girls’ event was planned elsewhere).

Group A: Netheredge Knights (Allama Iqbal juniors), Shiregreen Sharks (home side), Ecclesfield Aces (ACE programme).
