Weekly sports & trips
Wellbeing & community
Real talk. Real support.

BROTHERS. BALANCE. BELONGING.
The Youth Sports Club is Cricket Arena’s year-round programme supporting young people through sport, mentorship and meaningful experiences. Born from our work with the Violence Reduction Unit and South Yorkshire Police & Crime Commissioner, this club is built to keep youth active, connected and confident—especially those facing pressure or barriers off the pitch.
Each week, young people aged 13+ come together for sports sessions, group trips and workshops that build trust, community and self-belief. It’s a space where relationships grow, role models step up, and every individual feels like they belong.
But it’s more than just sport. The Youth Sports Club gives young people a break from everyday pressures—and a chance to reflect, grow, and choose a better path.
There’s no trials, no trophies — just real talk, real moments and real support.
Whether it’s your first session or fiftieth, this is a club where you’re always welcome — and always backed.

WHAT PARTICIPANTS SAY...

“He used to be very shy and didn’t express himself. Since coming here he’s opened up — we talk after games about what went well and what to improve. And keeping the lads busy on Fridays keeps them off the streets.”

“They help keep kids off the streets and give them something they’re passionate about. It’s a genuine community they’re building.”

“There aren’t many places we feel confident to go. Here you find a proper community — you try different sports and get real chances. I used to keep to myself; now it’s fun, social, and it brings us together.”
